The Chemical
Design Ultra High Purity (UHP) Purification system provides a product
stream to the customer cold box previously unreachable by conventional
purification methods. Air sent to the CDI system is first reacted
to remove H2
and CO. It then undergoes adsorption where CO2
and water are removed down to less than 0.5 ppmv. This
provides a product gas that when fed to the customer cold box, returns
and ultra high purity nitrogen. A few examples of past Chemical
Design UHP systems are shown above.
