Air Plant Feed Purification - Chemical Design, Inc.

The two vessel air separation plant shown above is an example of an application with a smaller feed flow. Because the customer has limited space available in the plant to place the system, CDI incorporated a double-decker design to cut down on the skid footprint. The feed gas is cooled by a chilled water exchanger that utilizes a mechanical refrigeration unit. Condensed water is removed and the gas is passed through the twin bed adsorber section. The resulting product gas continues on to the customer cold box in the state shown in the table.
